The Transport Research Arena (TRA 2020) is the biggest European Research and Technology Conference on transport and mobility. In 2020 TRA is themed “Rethinking transport – towards clean and inclusive mobility” and brings together experts from around the world to Helsinki to discuss the newest innovations and to explore the future of mobility and transport. TRA 2020 takes place from 27 to 30th April 2020. The call for submissions, experts and demonstrations is now open

TRA 2020 covers all aspects of mobility from the way we book our journeys to the value proposition of transport assets, enabled and fuelled by digital technologies, leading towards measures against climate change and increased European competitiveness. TRA 2020 offers the right moment to think together how, with digital technologies, we can shape and direct this transformation to respond to the demands.

The conference will address all modes and components of the mobility system, passenger and freight transport as well as cross-modality. It covers the whole spectrum of challenges and opportunities faced by our mobility: traconference.eu.

The Call for Submissions for TRA2020 is now open. Authors can submit their papers for two review tracks: 1) journal track and 2) conference track. Papers that are submitted for the journal track will be considered for publication in special issues of the European Transport Research Review (ETRR) and they must be full papers. Papers offered solely for the conference can be short papers. The deadline for papers is 30th April 2019. The scientific and technical sessions will comprise research papers, the best of which will be published in peer-reviewed journals. All accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings.

Finally there is also a call for demonstration. The deadline for expression of interest in demonstration is 28th May 2019. The demonstration area will be one of the highlights of the forthcoming TRA2020. Offering more than 3600 m2 of indoor and 2000 m2 outdoor demonstration space, the demonstration area is designed to accommodate a variety of demonstrations.
