Eight transport topics under the 2018-2020 Horizon 2020 Work Programme are now open for application, making available EU financing of €122 million.

The applicants have to present project proposals in a variety of areas including transport infrastructure and safety, which is relevant for light, electric vehicles.

The projects will be selected for funding in two-stage evaluation.

First, candidates should submit short project proposals by 16 January 2019. They will be then informed within three months after the deadline if they have qualified to the second stage of the selection process.

If so, they will be invited to submit full project proposals by 12 September 2019.

The final decision about which projects will receive EU funding will be known the latest by February 2020 at the latest.

LEVA-EU, as the only trade association working exclusively for the light, electric vehicle sector, may be interested in partnerships for projects involving LEVs. LEVA-EU has in-depth knowledge and expertise on LEVs and a very extensive network. LEVA-EU is particularly interested in communication and dissemination. How will the grants be awarded?

The submitted proposals are evaluated by external experts drawn from the European Commission’s independent expert database. Grant agreements will be signed with the successful applicants max. eight months after the deadline.
