Mobi, the Mobility, Logistics and Automotive Technology Research Centre, nested at The Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), has been officially created in 2007 by prof. dr. Cathy Macharis and prof. dr. ir. Joeri Van Mierlo. MOBI is a Belgian leading and fast-growing multidisciplinary research centre focusing on 4 research and innovation domains: Urban Mobility, Sustainable Logistics, Electric & Autonomous Vehicles and Sustainable Energy Communities.

It gathers a team of around 140 experts, a strong international network of academic, industrial & government partners and years of internationally recognized expertise. The research centre was involved in more than 160 projects over the last five years and is currently involved in 38 European projects.
