We are looking for a new Technical Project Lead to join us in our goal of operating sustainable, long-lasting and repairable forms of individual transportation. In this role, you will be leading technically different vehicles (i.e. bikes and/or scooters) and you will be the right hand of the vehicle project manager. Your tasks will vary day-to-day, but your main responsibility will be to organise and prioritise tasks among all the other technical departments such as electrical-, embedded, back-end- and data engineering. In order to succeed in this role, you need to have a hands-on mindset and should not be afraid of thinking along with internal and external stakeholders to solve technical problems on the vehicles. This position will be based in Amsterdam but you might need to travel to markets from time to time.

What You’ll Do

  • Be responsible for all electrical and software systems of the vehicles
  • You will be accountable for the technical steering of our vehicles (developed by third-party suppliers)
  • You will support the sustaining team to maintain our vehicle fleet healthy by monitoring the behaviour of the vehicles
  • You will be responsible for pushing for the resolution of technical issues with suppliers. Often you will think along with suppliers to solve problems
  • Coordinate and support testing activities
  • Coordinate hardware and software releases (internally and externally)
  • You will ensure proper breakdown of working packages and coordination on their execution of them
  • Define product milestones and report progress to management

What You’ll Need

  • Academic degree in software-, electronics engineering or a related field
  • 5+years of Experience in electrical and firmware engineering
  • People and technical leadership demonstrated experience
  • Familiar with the use of electronic lab equipment like multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, soldering stations etc.
  • A creative mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and an eye for detail
  • A proactive, energetic personality with the ability to prioritise & multi-task autonomously
  • Strong time management, communication & documentation skills
