As our Supply Planner you will be part of the Supply Chain team and working together with the team to manage the best Supply Chain in the bike industry!

The team is responsible for aligning input from internal key stakeholders in Sales, Product Management, Operations and Finance to provide robust supply plan to our suppliers, ensuring availability of SKU and Parts to produce our products.

The role

The Supply Planner is part of the Supply Chain team. This team is responsible for planning, inventory management, facilitating the S&OP cycle and managing the production of our bikes with external assembly partners. The team is responsible for aligning input from internal key stakeholders in Sales, Product Management, Operations and Finance to provide robust supply plan to our suppliers, ensuring availability of SKU and Parts to produce our products. Also, you will be in a close relationship with other Supply Chain functions (Procurement, Operations, Logistics and Customer Service) to better manage operational efficiency.

Main tasks

  • Supply Planning: Prepare purchasing Replenishment. Proactively manage orders and ensure data is up-to-date while optimizing inventory.
  • Mitigate Risks: Assess potential SKU/parts’ availability risks, develop scenario planning frameworks. Work together with suppliers and internal stakeholders to find optimal mitigation strategies.
  • Operational Supplier management: Ensure that production targets are achieved by closely working with the Assembly Partner to align and change production schedules and shipment plans to optimize availability.
  • Planning Optimization: Build, integrate, and develop our planning tools in collaboration with our internal Data Science team that can develop our planning tool (Anaplan) based on your input.
  • Process Optimization: Act on process improvement opportunities and develop efficient and effective well documented processes.

Who are you?

As a Supply Planner, you are someone that is engaged with our products, our company and will take the customers’ needs into account. As you work with several departments and stakeholders, you need to be a pro-active team player! Furthermore we are looking for someone who is a strong communicator, result and data driven. To be successful you will need to roll up your sleeves, get a clear understanding of companywide processes, develop future proof processes and sometimes just lean into the chaos and lead stakeholders into a structured approach to solve day-to-day issues in a dynamic bike industry.

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Demand/Supply Planning, Purchasing and/or inventory management;
  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field (e.g. Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economic studies)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at different levels within the organization on S&OP-related matters, as well as effectively communicate with international suppliers;
  • Strong analytical skills and affinity towards data-driven decision making;
  • You are an inventive self-starter, flexible, analytic, accurate and you like to finish what has been started;
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel-Access knowledge and experience with planning tool (Anaplan, slim4, SAP). And being able to implement this experience in our S&OP cycle;
  • Fluent in English. Dutch is preferred.
  • Driver’s license valid in The Netherlands;
  • Living in the Amsterdam area with a valid work/residence permit.
