We are currently a team located in Stavanger/ Norway and the team consists of experienced engineers and creative enthusiasts supported by business-oriented persons. The Podbike® FRIKAR® e-bike has been developed with the aim of bridging the gaps between cars and bikes by combining the comfort and safety of a car and the benefits of cycling.

The Supply chain and sourcing specialist will take a central role in ensuring Podbike’s material supply in a timely and cost-effective manner.

The position will report to the Head of Engineering.

The Supply chain and sourcing specialist is responsible for material sourcing and procurement.

Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Supply chain
  • Responsible for establishing purchasing procedures required to fulfil the procurement, inventory, and distribution of required components.
  • Manage quality, design and payment to vendors.
  • Purchasing and replenishment based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) needs and inventory levels.
  • Sourcing specialist
  • Purchase goods that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organisation
  • Point person for the solicitation and preparation of Request for Quotations (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Request for Informations (RFIs).
  • Administer contracts, control costs, and ensure on-time delivery in accordance with program requirements.
  • Cost analysis and negotiation of proposals; fact finding in RFI’s.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and new products.
  • Compare available goods with industry trends to determine appropriate pricing.

Background

  • Masters or Bachelor’s degree within a technical field preferred. A combination of technical and commercial background and/or experience a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical buyer or procurement role
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with vendors.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • Proactive attitude towards work, teamwork, and cooperation.
