Moreover, each employee is equally invested and accountable for making each decision socially and environmentally sustainable.What You’ll DoAs part of your software engineering team you will work closely with product managers, designers and other software engineers to build software solutions for our end users and our best-in-class in-house operations. The tools that you build are used by hundreds of professionals all over Europe to keep our e-scooters and e-bikes available and in great condition, all hours of the day every day. In this position you will have a key impact on the success of our business.You will join a talented and experienced team of engineers that strive to deliver high quality solutions and code. The team consists of frontend, backend and Android engineers, with some of them contributing full-stack.Your Responsibilities Include

• Build new features in our existing internal web applications with both desktop and mobile use cases
• Contribute to and execute on the roadmap for our transition from Firebase to microservices
• Lead cross-functional projects, both within your team and across teams
• Work closely with product managers and designers to help define product scope and design
• Collaborate with other software engineers to design and implement technical solutions that scale well and are easy to maintain
• Propose technical improvements and experiments to advance our technological capabilities
• Review code and contribute ideas to help us evolve the quality standard at Dott
• Work closely with design to define, refine and apply our design system

Who We’re Looking For

• You are biased towards action; when confronted with challenges, you take ownership of the problem and drive solutions
• You seek out collaboration with others and embrace different perspectives to make informed decisions
• You have a critical mindset and constantly scout opportunities for improvement
• You have a track record of championing ideas big and small and convincing your team to embrace them
• You write high quality code and your contributions align with industry best practices and standards

What You’ll Need

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer on frontend web applications with React
• 2+ years of experience as a software engineer working on distributed backend systems with Node
• Proficient in React and Typescript
• Proficient at systems design and software architecture
• Experienced with test automation

Bonus Points

• Experience working on greenfield projects
• Experience with building progressive web applications (PWAs)
• Experience with Web Components (we have some applications that rely on this)
• Experience with gRPC and Protobuf
• Interested in or open to making contributions across our entire stack
• Experienced in coaching and mentoring more junior team members
