Moreover, each employee is equally invested and accountable for making each decision socially and environmentally sustainable.Dott is looking for an interim Senior financial Accountant.Your responsibilities vary from timely registration of transactions to engaging in cross functional projects and delivery of vital financial data to the leadership team. Next to independent processing of financial transactions you will review and analyze financial data processed and delivered by specialist colleagues (AP) and will be responsible for accuracy of balance sheet, profit and loss statements of our HQ functions (mostly Netherlands, but we have HQ functions in all countries of our presence).What You’ll Do
- Perform month and year-end closing procedures for your assigned countries (accruals, Intercompany, asset management, payment service providers settlements reconciliation, payroll, reconciliation of suspense accounts etc)
- Interact with specialists with respect to periodic VAT-returns
- Collaborating closely with HQ functions leaders to ensure accuracy of financials
- Perform periodic reconciliations of the balance sheet to ensure integrity of financials
- Engage in cross functional improvement projects
- Support in yearly audit-cycle
- Identify and implement controls, processes and systems improvements
- Continuous focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices
- Work with FP&A, Tax, and Treasury to ensure overall coordination of finance related tasks
- Review of financial data processed by specialists
- Support in updating and maintaining process documentation
What You’ll Bring
- A minimum of 5+ years post qualification experience as an accountant with at least one multinational corporation, a start-up or scale-up
- A postgraduate accounting qualification – ACA, ACCA, RC or equivalent
- In-depth understanding of accounting standards (IFRS is a pre, Dutch GAAP nice to have) and best-practices
- Experience in a fast-paced start-up environment or mature corporate environment
- Comfortable with process redesign and implementation
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders
- Organisational skills with the ability to balance planning ahead and being flexible when navigating changes
