General Description:

This Marketing Communications position offers strategic and day-to-day tactical leadership of the assigned region. This person will be responsible for implementing, communicating and converting the marketing communications strategy to the internal team and external retail partners across the region. This person will receive the marketing communications strategy and guidelines from the EU marketing communications team based in Amsterdam and will be for both product categories KickScooters and eScoorters.

Specific Duties:

The following tasks are applicable for both product categories KickScooter and eScooter.

• Coordinate new product launches in the responsible area: translate, localize and communicate new product introductions to the sales team. Provide the sales team with the right tools to communicate the products and the brand story to the retail partners. The required tools and documents will be provided by the EU office.

• Creating a clear overview of the target group in the responsible area for the different product categories, to support sales.

• Manage in-store POS materials and other communications (online and offline) for the responsible area.

• Responsible for coordinating, informing and monitoring the way the Segway-Ninebot products and POS materials are displayed in-store. This will be in close cooperation with sales.

• Help develop and maintain a strong and harmonious brand visual identity across our businesses and channels.

• Responsible for all translations of the available content and up to date and accurate information on the local website.

• Assist EU office with local translations for other brand materials (like videos, brochures, press releases).

• Create, discuss, judge and improve marketing communications plans of the retail partners, assist sales in this process. This includes POSM instore, correct communication online, financial plan, proposal and reporting to the EU office.

• Create PR-plan, develop PR campaigns in cooperation with the EU marketing communications team and create press coverage reports.

• Participates in trade events as appropriate.

• Roll-out logistic plan: how to get all POS and display material in-store. Find partners to manage this, create a feasible plan (incl. timeframe of the roll-out, clear description of what is expected, financial plan, etc)

• Monthly reporting to EU Marketing communications team on above subjects.

Professional- and social competencies:

• B.S. or B.A. degree from an accredited college/university in Marketing or related field required

• 3-5 years experience as marketing manager, preferably consumer electronics goods

• Strong analytical & computer skills; Excel & PowerPoint are a must

• Detail-oriented with a strong aptitude for problem-solving

• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat)

• Excellent leadership and management skills. Must be able to provide direction and support to retailer partners and other sales channels

• Strong interpersonal communication and coaching skills, spoken and written

• Ability to interact with both external and internal customers at all levels and with different cultures

• Full English and German proficiency

• Good time management and able to work independently

• Web-savvy, thorough understanding of social media and digital marketing is a pre

• Effective Planning & Organization skills

• Initiative/Self-Starter

• Must be able to work outside office hours if required
