PR and Communications Director

We are looking for a dynamic Head of PR to join the Cowboy marketing leadership team at the most exciting stage of our journey to date. The multi award winning Cowboy C4 and C4ST bikes are best in class in design and are the only e-bikes on the market to offer the simplicity of design and usability alongside the digital connectivity (through the app) that has seen them dubbed ‘the Apple of e-bikes’ We are on a mission to change cities of the world for the better and are proud to count more than 3k crowdfunding investors and 30k riders as part of the growing Cowboy family. There are more than 600 rider communities that have organically sprung up across our major markets of Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, France and the UK and we are soon to exceed 1M rides a month.

Simply put, we are looking for someone to harness the magic of the Cowboy experience and spread the word. This will include leading the planning, implementation and ongoing measurement of Cowboy’s PR strategy, maximising media coverage and managing brand reputation. Reporting directly into our CMO, you will focus on activations, partnerships, collaborations, influencer relationships and events as well as building relationships with industry press and building and managing the PR team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Plan, develop, implement, and measure PR activities and campaigns against pre-agreed targets to support the wider marketing strategy.
  • Manage multiple PR agencies across different geographies, making strategic, measured financial decisions
  • Develop and lead on the influencer and high profile ambassador strategy including relationship management
  • lead on reputation management and crisis communications if needed
  • Ensure Cowboy is at the forefront of the micromobilty, ebike, and consumer technology industry.
  • Partnering closely and communicating effectively with all areas of the business to ensure seamless messaging and measurable positive business impact of campaigns.

Requirements

Who we are looking for

  • A strong Head of PR, Brand Communications Director, or Communications Manager with proven experience delivering high return strategies
  • Someone with experience with one or more of the following industries:
    • tech
    • mobility / micromobilty
    • connected devices
    • automotive
    • Luxury (preferred in addition to one of the above)
    • Management of multiple PR agencies across different European Markets
    • Previously been accountable for defining PR strategy, managing budgets and making decisions in regards to agency
    • A thorough understanding of the value in partnerships, collaborations, and thought leadership with a proven history of such initiatives.
    • Good relationships in the lifestyle and technology press
