The role

The External Manufacturing Coordinator is part of the Supply Chain team. The Supply Chain team is responsible for S&OP planning, Production management of our e-bikes at external assembly partners, and Quality management of finished products and components. We are looking for an External Manufacturing Coordinator who will take a leading role in managing weekly manufacturing operations at our external assembly partners, take responsibility for optimizing outcomes in the present as well as continuously improve to bring output to the next level in terms of reliability, agility, and efficiency in cooperation with our assembly partners.

Main tasks:

• Operational management: ensure that assembly and shipping plans are executed by our partners according to plan on time, in quality, and within cost. Manage material and capacity constraints, communicate clearly and timely on requested schedule changes to optimize inventory availability;
• Track and Report on Assembly Partner performance and KPIs (OTIF, COGS, Quality);
• Continuous improvement: collaborate closely with Quality team and Assembly Partners to improve assembly quality, assembly process efficiency, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Bring culture of manufacturing, including application of Lean practices internally and externally;
• Manage the manufacturing phase of Industrialization of New Product Introduction projects in close collaboration with Engineering, Product Management, and Quality;
• Constant communication to all relevant stakeholders (QWIC, Assembly partners, suppliers) about output and quality level;
• Setup and run development projects, including migration and set up of manufacturing processes in our new ERP;
• Help develop long-term assembly strategy and run projects related to this responsibility;
• Participate in S&OP and S&OE meetings, providing supply perspective, bringing clarity on current supply operations status;
• Build strong personal relationships with Assembly Partners.

Who are you?

You are a driven communicative leader that can bring our assembly facilities to the next level. You’re a strong personality that has an affinity with technology for our quality e-bikes.

• You have an engineering or supply chain background and at least 3-5 years of experience in a production environment;
• You are experienced in managing production facilities for technical products;
• You have experience with contract manufacturing, outsourced production suppliers;
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma practices and application;
• Experience in the bike industry is a big plus;
• Hands-on, solution-driven, eye for detail and project management skills;
• Excellent command of English;
• Knowledge of World-Class Manufacturing principles;
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with high awareness of deadlines;
• Global manufacturing perspective;
• Travel requirement of up to 25% to Europe and Asia.
