We’re looking for a talented Embedded Software Engineer to join our speed-pedelecs company. In our Team you will actively shape the future user experience in the e-mobility sector. As an Embedded Software Engineer in our eBike company, you will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of our electronic systems and firmware. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing embedded software solutions that drive the functionality and performance of our eBike products. Your expertise and technical skills will contribute to the seamless integration of hardware and software, ensuring a superior user experience for our customers.

Tasks & Responsibility

• Analysis and technical evaluation of system requirements, applications (C, real-time capable software) and interfaces (CAN, LIN, IPC, etc.)
• Prototyping key features and system-critical functions
• Verifying, optimizing and refactoring code
• Synchronization with other development departments and project management
• Build and maintain qualitative code, unit tests and documentation.
• Collaboration in the refinement of the product backlog and sprint planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following fields: electrical engineering, embedded systems, technical computing and/or computer science
• At least 2 years’ professional experience as a developer in embedded software development with C / C++
• Interest, initiative and willingness to learn new topics independently.
• Structured, systematic way of working
• Flexibility, high resilience and accuracy paired with passion, creativity and enthusiasm characterize you.
• You enjoy creating something new, adding your input and seeing your ideas be actualized.
• You are interested in and curious about trends and innovations in the mobility sector
• Familiar with git, software quality metrics, automated tests (unit tests, user interface), ongoing integration and agile software development in general
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and analytics platforms is desirable.
• Fluent spoken and written English

Nice-to-have

• You have some knowledge in the area of CAN-Bus and advantageously CAN in Automation (CiA) resp. CANopen
• Some experience using wireless technology and related software stacks (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GSM, GPS)
• Active participation in the open source community desired
