Business Controller Podbike – Stavanger (NO)


Podbike AS was founded in 2016. The company’s mission is to create human powered, electrically assisted vehicles that offer citizens worldwide a healthy, environmentally friendly personal transportation. Their first product, Podbike® FRIKAR® is a four-wheeled electric assisted bike with full weather protection, a practical, healthy and sustainable alternative to cars for short distance travel. The Company focuses on sustainable and ethical production with minimal carbon footprint.

On behalf of Podbike, we are looking for a Business Controller, in order to strengthen the team moving forward into an operational growth phase. This is a great opportunity if you would like to work in a company that aims to contribute to sustainable living and to change human behaviour.

You will take a central role in reporting and analysis, as well as building a modern and efficient business controlling function. You will work with a driven and dynamic team with global ambitions that care about the planet, the society and each other. The Podbike team consists of 14 experienced employees, currently representing five nationalities, with an ultimate ambition to double the number of employees during 2022.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Monthly and annual reporting, analysis of KPI´s and materials for decision support.
  • Forecasting, budgeting and modelling.
  • Cost analysis and optimization.
  • Development and implementation of processes, business systems and reporting solutions.
  • Work closely with the team to develop and implement strategies to achieve targets on cost, growth and financial performance.
  • Operational tasks such as inventory reconciliations, project reviews, product cost and profitability analysis, etc.


  • Minimum BSc level within Finance, Accounting or Economy
  • 1-3 years of relevant working experience and general good business understanding.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge and experience with ERP systems.
  • Experience with implementation of Business Processes and ERP systems will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of European / Norwegian accounting principles, reporting and tax regimes will be an advantage.
  • Fluent in English oral and written (other European languages will be a plus).
