FOLT, part of Smart Mobility Innovations B.V. in Leusden, is immediately looking for a part-time/full-time employee.

We are FOLT and we make electric folding bikes under our own brand. Would you like to be part of a small innovative team that takes a company from start-up to scale-up in the world of electric mobility? Then working at FOLT is something for you.

At FOLT we assemble two models of electric folding bikes and will start with a third model later this year. An electric bike consists of hundreds of parts that all need to be assembled in a certain way in order to be able to cycle. In addition, interested parties come to us for test rides on the bikes and customers pick up their bikes. If there is still time left, we also deliver the bikes to the customer’s home.

As an allround employee, you will support our small team in the workshop during busy periods with the guidance of test rides and customers while picking up their new bike. In addition, you will support our experienced mechanics in assembling electric bikes and sorting out stocks. You are the face of FOLT, ensuring that customers feel comfortable and answer all their questions. You also jump in to help with assembly when needed. If you have a driving license, you can also drive routes through the Netherlands and Belgium for service and delivery.

Tasks

The tasks include:

• Guiding test rides
• Delivering bikes to customers at the workshop
• Customer service (answering emails and taking phone calls)
• (Supporting) assembly
• Possibly also delivery to customers if you have a driving license

Job requirements:

• Technical interest or aptitude
• Experience is an advantage but not necessarily required
• Education can vary

What do we offer?

15 euros per hour including holiday pay

What does a day at FOLT look like?

We start around 09:00 with a cup of coffee or tea and go through the planning for that day. Are there test riders? How many? Are customers picking up their new bike? Do we have enough in stock, does the ordered configuration match the bikes that are ready? We also discuss new orders and any peculiarities in the supply of parts.

Throughout the day, guiding customers, delivering bikes and assisting with assembly will alternate. Actually, no day is the same.

In the afternoon we provide a nice lunch and if the weather and time permit a walk. Then a phone call comes in, a customer would like to have his bikes delivered. You load a couple of bikes into our company van and deliver them to the customer.

Around 5 pm in the afternoon we check whether the planning for the next day is still realistic and we sweep the floor.
