In an effort to double production, LEVA-EU member Carla Cargo now uses a robot to produce the frames of their electric trailers. These frames are produced 3 km away from their headquarter, which allows them to reduce their delivery time to 6-8 weeks. Carla’s ordered before the 31st October will be delivered before Christmas.

Furthermore the Carla Cargo crew is growing a lot. The company has recently welcomed Sandra, Jordan, Omid and Henry as new team members. Sandra is supporting Sales & Accounting. Jordan & Henry are working in Production and Omid is doing an apprenticeship as a two-wheel mechanic. Carla Cargo is still looking for interns in Sales & Marketing.

Finally, the city of Hamburg has recently introduced a new financial incentive for (e)cargo-bikes and (e)trailers. There is a total budget available of € 1,5 million until the end of 2021. Residents of Hamburg are entitled to 33% of the purchase price, with a maximum of € 2,000 for electric cargo bikes and € 500 for bicycle (e) trailers. More information: Hamburg incentives
