Source: Spanish Bicycle Industry Association, AMBE – The Spanish electric cycle market skyrocketed to record heights with more than 212,000 pieces sold in 2020.

The Spanish electric cycle market is booming with 212,635 pieces sold in 2020. This resulted in almost 50% growth compared to 2019, when almost 143,000 electric cycles went over the counter. With that, the market share of electric cycles has increased to 13.6% , the third largest segment after MTBs and children cycles.

The average value of electric cycles sold in 2020 was almost € 2,650 in 2020, an increase of more than 10% compared to the year before. The market of electric cycles now represents a value of more than € 563 million, which is 42% of the total cycle market value in Spain.
