Recognised by one of the world’s most prestigious product design awards, the LEVA-EU member’s newest e-bike, XCITEMNT, adds yet another distinction to its growing collection of accolades.
Since its launch in late 2025, Vyber’s XCITEMNT has won an iF Design Award 2026, been selected as Best Tested in the AD Bicycle Test 2026 and has scored a high rating of 8.2 from ANWB.
With its latest success at the Red Dot Design Awards, Niewusfiets reports that Vyber is one of five award recipients from the Netherlands, making it the country with the second-highest bicycle-related design accolades in 2026.

Vyber wanted to innovate a bicycle design distinguished by an exquisite appearance and details, with an experience that makes every ride feel special. Developed as a high-quality, comfortable e-bike focused on rider enjoyment, its standout features include a modular frame design, integrated lighting and a refined finish.
About its Red Dot Design achievement, Vyber published the following on its website:

The Dutch brand concludes that it is a great honour for all who worked on its development and views it as confirmation for why riders choose Vyber every day.
Fietstest.nl conducts e-bike reviews for the upcoming cycling season with extensive evaluations on usability, comfort and technical performance. The 2026 shortlist included models of LEVA-EU members Ellio, Folt, Klever, Levit, Vogue Bike and Vyber, which were highlighted as standouts.
For the Dutch organisation’s 2026 review, over 2,076 independent panelists tested 918 electric bicycle models, covering a range of categories from city commuter, folding, to speed pedelec e-bikes.
Best electric city and commuter e-bikes categories
Firstly Levit’s Beleco 5 2026 won the Best Buy label in the electric sporty commuter category. Its final overall score was 7.8, with it receiving the highest average scores for handling and comfort, and motor and assistance.

“Affordable e-bike with a solid foundation and decent performance. The finish and components are simpler.”
Next, Vogue Bike’s Milo 2026 won Best Tested in the electric city bikes category. Its final overall score was 7.9, with it receiving the highest average scores for value for money, and motor and assistance.

“What a wonderful bike to ride! The handy front rack is perfect for carrying gear. Additionally, I think it’s great that this Vogue Milo 2026 features automatic shifting with its hub gears, which makes cycling even easier. The powerful rear-wheel motor and hydraulic disc brakes ensure a smooth and safe ride.”
Vyber’s newest model, XCITEMNT, which has already received various industry accolades, also won the Best Tested in Best electric city category.
Its final overall score was an impressive 8.3, with it receiving the highest average scores being for handling and comfort, and motor and assistance.

“Lightweight, agile yet robust, quiet bike. Clear display and controls. When riding off, it takes a moment for the assistance to kick in due to the rotation sensor.”

Best compact and folding electric bike category
Folding bike manufacturer Folt was very successful in the Fietstest 2026 shortlist, with 2 of its models receiving distinguished labels.
Firstly, its Voyage 2026 model received the Best Buy label with a final score of 7.6, with its value for money and battery receiving the highest average scores.
A reviewer gave the following statement about this model:
“It really is a top bike in this price range. You do have to get used to the gearbox operation, but otherwise it’s an 8.”
Folt’s Maxx 2026 won the Best Tested label with a final score of 7.8, with its equipment and finish, handling and comfort, and value for money having its highest average scores.
This statement about the Maxx 2026 was published by a reviewer:
“Foldable e-bike with a rugged design and powerful performance. Its weight and size make it less practical to take with you really often.”

Best speed pedelec category
Ellio’s Original Suspension 2026 was highlighted as Best Tested for this category, receiving a final score of 8.3. Its motor and assistance, and handling and comfort received the highest average scores for this model.
It received the following feedback from a reviewer:
“In the city, the Ellio is comfortable and safe, especially due to the stability and grip it offers. Speed bumps and poor roads are no problem thanks to the hydraulic disc brakes and the lightweight aluminium frame. However, it is not a typical city bike; its size and weight make it less practical for short stops or frequent maneuvering. All in all, it is a powerful speed pedelec with stepless gearing that gets you from A to B quickly.”
Klever’s N Pinion 45 2026 model was rated as Best Buy in this category, where it received a final score of 8.2, with its motor and assistance, handling and comfort, and battery receiving the highest average scores.

Following the success of its Xcitemnt e-bike, the LEVA-EU member has announced a seasonal Beast Edition of the model.
The Dutch brand’s latest e-bike has received great feedback from the ANWB E-bike test, having received a high score of 8.2 by riders using a comprehensive evaluation process. It has also been awarded an iF Design Award, one of the most prestigious product design accolades in the world.
Using the popular cutting-edge design of the existing Xcitemnt model, the Beast Edition is distinguished through design and finish modifications. It is targeted at users who prioritise functionality and appearance.
The limited edition e-bike has a stepless Enviolo shifting system, a mid-drive motor boasting 80 Nm of torque, as well as a dropper post system, to combine high riding comfort with performance.

The LEVA-EU member has announced that its newest model, the Vyber Xcitemnt scored 8.2 in the renowned Dutch ANWB E-bike test, with its pedal assistance and sleek finish being standout highlights.
The e-bike brand stated that it was delighted to have received good feedback from the ANWB, especially about the Xcitemnt’s driving comfort, safety and sleek finish.
With over 5 million members, The Royal Dutch Touring Club ANWB assists on the road in regards to mobility and tourism. As part of its offering, it regularly tests bicycles to support its audience in finding the right model for their needs.
ANWB’s comprehensive testing methods
It thoroughly evaluates bikes, from outdoor use and in a test lab, which includes using a dynamometer, as well as braking and stability tests. The bikes are tested outside for two days, with riders participating in a varied 5.3 kilometre loop with several challenging inclines. The ANWB also marks each bike on over 100 technical points.
The evaluation includes the following component categories: Flat terrain support, uphill support, range, brakes, lighting, stability, comfort & ergonomics, construction & parts, display & controls, driving characteristics, and child seat capability (not rated but tested).

ANWB published the following statement about Vyber’s newest e-bike:
“The best-finished bike (score 8.2, €3,499 with 600 Wh battery) in the test is characterised by virtually perfect welding and premium components. Think of a very powerful headlight, daytime running lights, and even a brake light. The assistance is also very pleasant and feels natural. You can feel the weight too: this bike weighs no less than 32.5 kg (including battery).”
In terms of individual test component categories, it scored highest on lighting with a top score of 10, followed by its brakes and stability scoring 9, and flat terrain support receiving a mark of 8.5.

The LEVA-EU member has announced that its Vyber Xcitemnt e-bike model has won the prestigious product design award.
Featured on the iF DESIGN AWARD website, Vyber’s Xcitemnt was complimented on its seamless one-body frame, fully integrated daytime running lights, brake lights, and 100-lux front lighting.
Further highlights include its discreet 80Nm motor with internal cable routing as well as its Nexus 5 belt-drive system.

The LEVA-EU member exhibited at the recent bicycle trade show with a trendy booth offering a lively party atmosphere as a representation of Vyber riding experiences.
Recently at the Nieuwsfiets B2B Festival in Brabanthallen in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, Dutch e-bike brand Vyber greeted its booth visitors with a feeling of good spirits. Vyber’s slogan “Good, good vibes” was evident on its wall, as it played music and offered refreshments. Intermittently, a confetti cannon would go off, maximising the booth’s party atmosphere.
As Vyber proudly displayed its bicycles hanging above mirrors, its owner Peter Lubbers described the association between the booth’s party atmosphere and how the brand wants its riders to feel as they use Vyber bicycles.
He explained that Vyber doesn’t want to be like other bicycle brands. “Of course, the quality of the bike has to be top-notch; that’s the foundation. But that’s where the comparison ends. We’re a brand with a vibe, born from a feeling. We want to make bikes that make you happy, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Bikes that ride well, are technically top-notch, give you a good feeling, for a fair price and with perfect service.”
The LEVA-EU member has posted a festive themed promotion with Father Christmas riding around town on its latest model, the Xcite, drawing a lot of smiles from passers by, capping off a fantastic year for the company.
Boasting up to 80Nm of torque, the Xcite, launched in November 2025, is equipped with a weld-free frame, a discreet and powerful Nexus belt drive alongside other crowd-pleasing features.
Vyber has had a fantastic 2025, from launching its Xcite e-bike, to winning the FD Gazelle 2025 Award that celebrates the performance, stability and entrepreneurship of businesses.
The LEVA-EU member has announced that it has been awarded the FD Gazelle Award 2025, an annual award from the Financieele Dagblad (Financial Daily), which highlights companies that differentiate themselves through performance, stability and entrepreneurship.
The Dutch e-bike brand has stated that this achievement is a special recognition of the hard work it accomplishes every day, and extends a special thanks to its team and dealer network. The company also comments that Vyber revolves around: “letting people ride with good vibes. We do this with e-bikes that effortlessly exceed expectations, but above all, with a team and dealer network that makes a difference every day.”
Vyber concluded that the FD Gazelle award is great motivation in helping them to keep building on innovation, service, experience, and giving even more riders amazing ride experiences.
LEVA-EU members Levit, Opmaet Fietsen, Vyber and Ellio come out on top with Fietstest, a reputable panel of independent reviewers in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Since 2018, Fietstest reviewers have been testing bicycles and offering an impartial verdict on product performance, value and quality to help customers make purchasing decisions. As of May 2025, Fietstest has reported that 1,900 of its members have tested 882 electric bicycles.
Levit
The Czech e-bike manufacturer won the respected Best Buy award for a consecutive year, this time with its recent model Beleco 7 Lowstep in the category of electric city bikes priced between €2,000 and €2,500. This bike has proved popular thanks to its fresh design, smooth support, discreet motor and neat finish.
Opmaet Fietsen
It has also been another award winning year for the Dutch e-bike manufacturer. After its touring model won in 2024, for 2025 its Opmaet Compact has won the Best Buy and Best Tested awards for the Netherlands and Belgium respectively.
In the best buy category, reviewers highlighted its user-friendly display system, discreet motor, powerful support, and also rated it as being comfortable with suspension. Meanwhile, in the Best Tested award, the Opmaet Compact was praised for its easy entry, powerful support, silent motor, clear display, smooth support, as well as being light and manoeuvrable.
Vyber
Fellow Dutch brand Vyber’s SUPR365 e-bike has come up top in AD’s Bike Test 2025, with it being selected as Best Tested and leading as the ultimate winner in the category of electric city bikes from €2.000 to €2.500, with notable features being ranked highly from testers including its clear display, smooth support, silent motor, mount-friendly and neat cable design.
Ellio
And finally, Ellio won Best Tested for its Ellio Max in the HLN speed pedelec group, impressing testers with its good suspension, great riding experience, braking and powerful support.
