The LEVA-EU member recently announced that one of its customers has driven 60,000 km in their Microlino over three years, with the achievement an excellent representation of the light electric vehicle being a sustainable, cost effective, practical transportation solution for everyday life.

Microlino reported that its customer, Silvano, purchased the light microcar to support him in his daily lifestyle for commuting, leisure and other purposes. Three years later, it has taken him all over Switzerland, covering a distance of 60,000 km, which equates to approximately traveling 1.5 times around the Earth.

Silvano has stated that his Microlino has saved him money. With lower running costs, he saves approximately CHF 500 (EUR 545) per month.

He has said that he very much appreciates the calming and confident way his Microlino fulfils his daily driving needs, with his simple and grounded mindset on the road:

“I don’t try to win fights. You just have to be aware of the size of the vehicle. Just like on a motorbike, you know you won’t win those. When you drive with that mindset, everything feels natural and safe, even on the highway.”

Swiss brand Microlino stated that stories like Silvano’s demonstrate what its light electric vehicle is meant for: real everyday use that’s joyful and reliable for the long term. These types of stories testify that “compact, efficient electric vehicles aren’t just a niche solution – they work, day after day, kilometer after kilometer.”
