    The leading trade fair, Eurobike, is opening the 2025 call for applications for the Eurobike Award and is looking forward to receiving submissions. From now on, applications are possible at Eurobike Award, where companies can find all necessary information on how to participate, and on the special awards Gold Award, Green Award and Startup Award. Submissions are possible for all interested parties, with trade fair exhibitors benefiting from special terms.

    “The Eurobike Award acknowledges the most innovative, relevant and sustainable innovations in the entire bike and ecomobility industry in ten categories. For award winners, this award means a lot of public attention,” says Stefan Reisinger, managing director of the Eurobike organizer fairnamic GmbH.

    “The Eurobike Award has been one of the most important and influential awards in the industry for 20 years. It gives buyers orientation and companies the opportunity to highlight themselves and their innovative strength,” says Martina Rumschick, responsible for brands at the Eurobike. The organizers have now included Adventure Equipment as a new category.

    Jury appointed

    A number of top-class experts will again form the jury for the Eurobike Award in 2025. They will evaluate the submissions based on criteria including innovation, function, design, material and workmanship quality as well as sustainability. The nine-member jury consists of:

    • Marco Brust, CEO of Velotech
    • Jochen Donner, freelance journalist and author, experienced bike tester
    • Mark Hölling, CEO of eScootee
    • Jens Holst, store manager, Globetrotter
    • Pinar Pinzuti, cycling activist, project manager, Bikenomist (IT)
    • Julien Riganti, owner of 8000Watt, designer
    • Meiko Schreiber, branch manager, KarlvonDrais
    • Marianne Weinreich, president of the Cycling Embassy of Denmark, owner of Weinreich Mobility (DK)
    • Christian Zanzotti, designer, Zanzotti Industrial Design

    “We are pleased to have won such a renowned international jury again this year, which will independently and expertly evaluate the submitted products,”says Martina Rumschick.

    The Eurobike Awards and the special awards will be presented on the first day of the trade fair, June 25, 2025, as part of a festive event on a large stage. The award-winning products will be presented in an exclusive award exhibition throughout the entire trade fair.

    For the implementation, Eurobike continues to cooperate with the German Design Council, the experienced design and trademark authority in Germany.

    The 33rd Eurobike will take place on the grounds of Messe Frankfurt from Wednesday, June 25 to Sunday, June 29, 2025.     A high profile expert jury has honoured 43 ground breaking products and projects with the Eurobike Award, recognizing excellence in the bike and future mobility industry. Of these, twelve received special distinctions. The selection process reviewed nearly 300 entries from 35 countries, evaluating them on design, innovation, manufacturing quality, and value for money. Winners will be celebrated at an awards ceremony on July 3, 2024, and featured in a special exhibition. Notable awards include the ‘Green Award’, the ‘Start-Up Award’, and the ‘Gold Award’.

    The Eurobike Award highlights advancements in bicycles, components, accessories, and clothing, significantly contributing to the industry’s development and market positioning. These innovations are crucial in addressing global challenges such as climate change, digitalisation, urbanisation, and demographic shifts, to advance the mobility transition.

    Expert jury honours 43 innovative products

    This year, an independent jury awarded 43 innovative products across nine categories, including bicycles, e-bikes, light electric vehicles, components, accessories, clothing, digital solutions, and mobility infrastructure. The jury evaluated submissions based on innovation, functionality, design, manufacturing quality, material choice, and sustainability.

    This years submissions demonstrated significant improvements in technical performance and sustainability across various categories. Innovations included socially motivated projects, circular solutions, and functional enhancements of existing systems. The jury emphasized innovation, functionality, ecological and social sustainability, and design in their evaluations.

    The winners will be announced during Eurobike’s award ceremony on July 3, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. in Hall 8 on the Yellow Stage and showcased during the trade fair.

    EUROBIKE is recognised nationally and internationally as the most important bicycle and mobility trade fair. The EUROBIKE AWARD honors the most relevant and innovative products and concepts in the industry. At the 32nd edition of the trade fair from 3 to 7 July 2024 in Frankfurt am Main, the winners will be highlighted on site and in the media and will be chosen at an awards ceremony. The registration portal for the EUROBIKE AWARD 2024 is now open.

    From sustainable material innovations for bicycles to high-performance, multifunctional e-bikes and cargo bikes to concepts to enhance the safety of two-wheeler riders in road traffic: products and visions from the bike and mobility industry play a key role towards sustainable transportation. The EUROBIKE AWARD showcases the diversity of these impactful initiatives.

On an international stage, we present the wide range of innovation and conceptual ideas of an industry that provides great solutions for essential needs.     Requirements and evaluation criteria

    The EUROBIKE AWARD is aimed at companies in the bicycle and mobility industry, designers and developers. This year, a jury of eight renowned experts will select the strongest projects from the submissions in a two-stage process. In addition to the overall concept and the commercial value of the product, the following criteria are also considered in the assessment:

    innovation level, functionality, design, manufacturing quality and choice of materials, as well as sustainability. Eligible products and concepts for submission encompasses bicycles, e-bikes, light electric vehicles up to 45 km/h, electric vehicles, components, accessories, clothing and accessories, digital solutions, mobility solutions and infrastructure.
