Ellio expands range with new Step-through model

The LEVA-EU member has announced the addition of a new model to its product line: the Ellio Original Step-through. Featuring a lowered frame entry and refreshed design elements, the new variant aims to improve accessibility while retaining the robust performance and signature style of the Ellio range.

Enhanced accessibility through lower frame entry

The hallmark of the Belgian e-bike brand’s Ellio Original has been its low and accessible frame, designed to accommodate a wide range of riders. With the Step-through edition, Ellio has lowered the entry point by 15 centimetres, making it easier for cyclists of all ages to mount and dismount the bike.

The adjustment is intended to improve everyday usability, particularly for riders seeking additional comfort or convenience in urban commuting. According to Ellio, the new frame design does not affect the model’s stability, geometry, or handling, ensuring that the Ellio Original Step-through maintains the same riding characteristics as the standard version.

Updated styling and features

In addition to the structural change, Ellio has introduced new aesthetic elements. The Step-through model debuts in a cement gray colorway with minimalist decals that align with the brand’s clean design philosophy.

The cockpit has also been updated to offer a modernized look, enhancing the overall riding experience without compromising on functionality.

As with the existing Ellio Original, the Step-through variant will be available with a range of options and accessories, including saddle and handlebar suspension, a riser, an additional battery, and other customizable features.

Availability and pricing

The Ellio Original Step-through has been available to order from 25 August 2025 at a retail price of €6,995. The model is already on display at select Ellio stores, where customers can schedule test rides or view the bike in person.

The Step-through will continue to be offered alongside the current Ellio Original, which will remain available for the foreseeable future. This approach allows customers to choose between the traditional low frame and the newly lowered step-through version, depending on their preferences.

Positioning in the market

Ellio’s expansion of the Original line reflects a growing industry trend toward accessibility-focused design in the premium e-bike market. By introducing a step-through variant without altering the performance characteristics of the original model, Ellio is seeking to broaden its customer base while maintaining the technical standards and durability for which it has become well-renowned.
