Shared Mobility Rocks, the industry’s international conference with a festival vibe, has issued a call for contributions of ideas for its 2026 edition, which focuses on the main topic “Time to scale up”.

Potential contributors are invited to submit their ideas in the form of a short video of up to 3 minutes, which will be used by the organisers to shape the conference programme, and won’t be shared publicly.

The contribution call states: “Bring the topics that truly matter in the field of shared mobility and present them in a way that sparks curiosity and engagement. We’re looking for fresh perspectives and formats that make learning exciting and memorable.”

The organisers have outlined key topics they are particularly interested in.

    Making Shared Mobility Mainstream

    • Public Mobility: (How) can the public sector guarantee mobility for all and provide good provisioning systems?
    • Behavior Change: Getting people to switch from private cars to shared mobility.
    • Inclusion & Accessibility: How to dismantle barriers to shared mobility access?

    Business & Marketing

    • Selling Shared Mobility: How to market shared mobility for maximum appeal.
    • Corporate Mobility Management: Making the benefits of cost savings, lower emissions and more flexibility more attractive.

    Tech & Innovation

    • Mobility as a Service (MaaS): Existing and latest developments.
    • Shared Mobility & AI: How AI innovations can be incorporated ethically.
    • Autonomous Driving: The next big headliner, just hype or a killer for sharing mobility?

     Local Hits: Where Sharing Happens

    • Smaller Cities & Rural Areas: How to make sharing feasible outside larger cities.
    • Bottom-up Initiatives: Schemes and systems shaking up the mainstream.

    Modes & Infrastructure

    • Bikesharing: What does it take to maximise the potential?
    • Mobility Hubs: How best to organise for multi-modal usage.

Interested contributors can submit their video for one of three contribution types, which have been themed to match the festival-adjacent style of the conference:

    a) Jam sessions – design your own 90-minute session.

Choose the topic, invite speakers and create a format such as a debate, hands-on lab or interactive session. Unexpected collaborations with other countries, sectors or organisations are welcome!

    b) Standalone gig – join the line-up!

Submit a topic you would like to bring to the stage as part of a 90-minute session. The jury will shape the overall session, and the organisers welcome format suggestions, such as lightning talks, live demos or other methods to get the crowd engaged.

    c) MCs required!

If you find yourself fatigued by panels that all sound the same, you can pitch a bold, unconventional session format, with your reasons as to why you should take the mic. The organisers will facilitate connections with inspiring presenters, and co-create sessions designed to make an impact.
