LEVA-EU member Santos Bikes has announced its partnership with the law enforcement training provider Lynx Groep to support professionals in ensuring safety in urban and rural settings.

The LEVA-EU member introduces the E-Patrol, an electric patrol bike designed specifically for professionals operating in public spaces. It can be used as rapid deployment transportation for tasks including enforcement, surveillance, and emergency response in densely populated urban areas and expansive rural environments.
The E-Patrol is equipped with a powerful Bosch mid-drive motor with a 750 wh battery for a long range. It builds on the proven framework of the Santos Patrol Bike, a model that’s already been well established among professional users for 20 years. E-Patrol emphasizes durability, low maintenance, and reliability under daily intensive use, and can also be customized for specific needs.
Key features highlighted by Santos include enhanced comfort and control for long shifts, smooth performance in city traffic, and strong support against headwinds. The bike is positioned as a ready-to-ride solution for teams requiring consistent performance across diverse conditions.

The LEVA-EU member’s tandem played a significant role in the wedding between two Santos riders, who opted for a unique twist on tradition when they tied the knot in June. Instead of arriving in a classic wedding car, the couple surprised their guests by making their entrance on a Double Travel tandem bicycle, provided by Santos Bikes.
The idea began when the pair approached the Dutch bicycle brand with an unusual request: the loan of a tandem for their wedding day. Santos quickly agreed, offering their distinctive Double Travel model.
What makes this tandem particularly special is its innovative design. Unlike most tandems, it features a double belt drive instead of a chain. This not only eliminates the risk of grease stains on wedding attire but also provides a smooth, comfortable ride.
The newlyweds’ choice combined practicality with a personal passion, turning their wedding transport into a memorable symbol of their shared love of cycling.

Building on the success of the original model, this updated version is mounted on Santos’ robust, low-maintenance flatbed frame and draws inspiration from the tried-and-tested Deutsche Post cargo box.
Engineered for performance and sustainability
The Cargo Box 2 offers a generous 500 litres of cargo space, housed in a lightweight, recyclable honeycomb polypropylene structure. The material provides high strength while remaining moisture-resistant and offering a long service life.
Impact-prone areas of the box are reinforced with stainless steel, enhancing durability for intensive daily use. The interior is lined with sound-absorbing and moisture-wicking mats, ensuring a quiet and dry transport environment.
Practical lid design
Designed with practicality and weather resistance in mind, the new cargo box features a dual-hinged lid system, allowing access from both the left and right sides. The lids fold over each other neatly, requiring no additional space beyond the box’s footprint.
Made from PVC truck tarpaulin with stainless steel fittings and a built-in rain gutter, the lids offer large side openings for easy loading and unloading, even in confined urban environments. The closure system is rainproof, secure, and intuitive, with a simple “push-to-lock” mechanism. The lids are also fully replaceable.

Santos Bikes announced as KBB award finalists
Another recent highlight for the LEVA EU member has been receiving great recognition for its products by the Kring Bedriven Bloembollenstreek (KBB), a Dutch regional business association of over 150 members that strive for co-operation, innovation and strong entrepreneurship.
The KBB is one of the oldest and most prestigious business associations in the Duin- en Bollenstreek region of the Netherlands, a network of business owners and directors of member companies from the muncipalities of Hillegom, Katwijk, Lisse, Noordwijk, Noordwijkerhout and Teylingen.
The KBB award finalists selected by its jury are announced every two years. Santos Bikes is proud of its finalist position, noting that it’s a great appreciation of what it works for every day, in providing “strong, durable and low-maintenance bikes that are ready for any adventure.”
