    The LEVA-EU member has announced that its Convoy C.01 e-trailer system has won the prestigious product design award.

    The system, which can upgrade any adult bicycle to become a utility vehicle for families and businesses, has been featured on the iF DESIGN AWARD website, outlining the quick mounting process of its proprietary rear-axle, powerful motor and capacity to transport up to 50 kg of luggage.

    A key component highlighted was its patented wireless handlebar sensor combined with actuated rear-wheel steering to ensure perfect alignment of bike and trailer, to give the safety and feel of a longtail electric cargo bike with a lightweight trailer offering versatility and easy storage.

    The LEVA-EU member has announced that its Vyber Xcitemnt e-bike model has won the prestigious product design award.

    Featured on the iF DESIGN AWARD website, Vyber’s Xcitemnt was complimented on its seamless one-body frame, fully integrated daytime running lights, brake lights, and 100-lux front lighting.

    Further highlights include its discreet 80Nm motor with internal cable routing as well as its Nexus 5 belt-drive system.

    LEVA-EU member Skarper has been awarded the prestigious iF Design Gold Award for their click-on, click-off eBike drive system, during a ceremony held in Berlin in late April. One of the most prestigious accolades in the design industry, the award recognises outstanding achievement in design, and marks a major milestone for the company.

    The company’s co-founders accepted the award on stage, representing the culmination of years of development and design refinement. The event brought together some of the world’s most innovative designers, with an atmosphere that celebrated creative excellence and forward-thinking ideas.

    The award ceremony was followed by a day of insightful programming at the iF Trend Conference, which focused on the role of technology in design, the importance of ethical design leadership, and the responsibility designers have in shaping the future.

    Skarper expressed gratitude to the iF Design Award organisers, their team, and peers across the design industry for their support and inspiration. The experience, the team said, has been both humbling and energising – a powerful moment that sets the stage for the next chapter in their journey.

    The iF Design Award is calling for entries to its bike category, with entries open until September 27.

    iF Design has been championing outstanding design since 1953 and is a proud and active member of the international design community.

    iF Design sees the cycling industry as booming, with people embracing the bicycle for transport, health and leisure, and state that manufacturers look to the annual awards as a seal of quality and innovation. The iF Design jury selects not only the best designs for leisure and sporting bikes, but also looks at the best of trekking, touring, cruising, folding, cargo, and mountain bikes, as well as pedelecs and e-bikes.
