Energy Innovation Award 2026 submissions open for Netherlands-based projects

Ahead of the 2026 edition of the Vakbeurs Energie (Energy Trade Fair) in Brabanthallen, the Netherlands, from October 6-8, the Energie Innovatie (Energy Innovation) Award 2026 is now open for submissions. The selection criteria include innovations in smart and sustainable mobility, alongside other segments of energy in the built environment, and energy in industry.

Eligible submissions must have been realised mainly in the Netherlands, and must demonstrably contribute to the energy transition.

Innovations must be submitted by noon on August 27 through the registration form here.

The award winner will receive a publicity and communication package worth €5,000, consisting of:

• The opportunity to give a daily presentation in a practical theater during 2027 edition of Vakbeurs Energie
• An advertorial or interview in the Vakbeurs Energie digital newsletter, which is distributed to 70K recipients
• Publication of the above on the Vakbeurs Energie website and LinkedIn showcase page

Winner selection

• A jury will assess all entries and select the nominees
• The nominees will present their innovations on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM at Podium Energie, during Vakbeurs Energie in the Brabanthallen in Den Bosch.
• The jury will announce the winner on the same day at an award ceremony
