The LEVA-EU member is partnering with Finnish manufacturer Ouca Bikes in bringing its Kiddiebus cargo bike to the region. The first orders of the model, which can safely transport up to 8 children, have been dispatched for customers.
The Kiddiebus has been extensively tested for use in playgroups, daycare centres, and out-of-school care before being successfully introduced in the Benelux. It is suitable for daily, intensive use thanks to its safe, reliable and comfortable design, which includes a rain and wind cover, as well as a battery that’s easily detachable for charging purposes.
The sustainably designed vehicle has been carefully packaged in a fully recyclable cardboard box that is extremely robust.
For the Kiddiebus, interested parties in the Benelux can contact hans@ridetoday.io to arrange a test ride or place an order directly (for purchase or lease).
The Dutch city is inviting businesses to test this sustainable mode of transportation for one month, so they can explore zero-emission transport alternatives in advance of new delivery traffic regulations that will come into effect next year. LEVA-EU member Dockr’s cargo e-bikes are among the selected vehicles that are available for free trials as part of this scheme.
From 1 January 2026, conventional trucks and vans will face restrictions in Utrecht’s city centre, which has prompted the municipality to encourage businesses to trial zero-emission transport alternatives.
From now until 1 March 2026, companies are able to try out LEVs free of charge for one month. The initiative is open not only to businesses located in the city centre, but also to those that regularly deliver goods there.
The trial includes three light electric vehicle types, including Dockr e-cargo bikes, to give businesses first-hand experience of cleaner, more manoeuvrable transportation alternatives to delivery vans.
Dockr is offering its Urban Arrow L & XL , designed for urban logistics transportation, for testing. They offer volumes of 400L (L) and 570L (XL) and are equipped to carry a maximum load capacity of 250 kg.
Businesses interested in participating can register or request further information through the city’s logistics brokers at logistiekmakelaar@utrecht.nl.
Following the acquisition of LEVA-EU member DOCKR by Today earlier this year, the brand’s cargo bikes will be available on a subscription basis, via a new service aimed at families, freelancers and small businesses across Europe.
The service will begin to roll out in key European cities this summer, and is expected to cost under €200 per month with maintenance included, plus optional extras such as insurance and theft cover. Users will manage their subscription through the Today app, which offers real-time support, trip tracking and service scheduling.
The launch of the service marks a new consumer-focused avenue for DOCKR cargo bikes, which have previously been used in B2B contexts. Kees Jan Blankestijn, Chief Operating Officer at Today, said, “We’ve seen the demand firsthand and know the use cases – whether it’s families doing the school run, gig workers hauling gear, or small businesses making local deliveries. Our vehicles are purpose-built for these needs, and now they’re more accessible than ever.”
Today CEO, Sean Flood, observed that although there are many e-bike subscription services available, e-cargo is missing from the mix. “These are true vehicle replacements that can carry children, groceries, etc, and the upfront cost of purchasing new is currently a huge barrier to utilisation for a lot of families. By offering an all inclusive, flexible product, we think it opens this segment up to so many new customers.” He added, “If we want widespread adoption of electric bikes, we need to remove friction. that means flexibility, simplicity, and real value – plus the tech and service to back it up.”
Since becoming part of Today, LEVA-EU member DOCKR has increased its e-mobility offering with the announcement of an upcoming model for childcare, including pre-school and after-school transport purposes.
DOCKR states that its newest cargo e-bike will be “super robust, durable and easy for riders” as a smooth and reliable daily childcare transportation solution.
With a load capacity of 180 kg, it is perfectly equipped to safely transport up to 8 children for trips to school, childcare services, or rides around the local neighbourhood.
OUCA pilot scheme
As part of the OUCA pre-announcement, DOCKR confirmed that it is currently undertaking several pilots and invites more users to take part in its pilot scheme by contacting the team through its website.
Irish mobility company Today has acquired LEVA-EU member DOCKR. With the deal, PON will get a share in Today. For DOCKR, the acquisition means a stronger position on the Dutch market, a broader range in addition to cargo bikes and international growth.
DOCKR strengthens position on the Dutch market with new vehicles in addition to cargo bikes
Kees Jan Blankestijn: “At DOCKR you have a subscription to an electric cargo bike for a fixed amount per month, including insurance, maintenance and on-site roadside assistance. We offer companies – from delivery services to retail chains – a sustainable way to transport in the city center.”
Growing with a wider range of products in the Netherlands, but also abroad
Thanks to the collaboration with Today, the range of electric cargo bikes will be expanded in the short term. “Our customers simply get more options,” says Kees Jan Blankestijn, CEO of DOCKR. “We will continue to do what we are good at: offering reliable and sustainable cargo bikes based on a flexible subscription, only soon under the Today flag. At the moment, 98% of our subscriptions meet the agreed SLAs and customers are very satisfied. We are proud of that, it remains the top priority. The acquisition will allow us to continue to grow under the name TODAY with a wider range. In the Netherlands, but also beyond.”
Today and DOCKR bring sustainable mobility to an international market
Today is an international supplier of e-bikes, e-scooters and e-mopeds focused on micro-mobility. The mobility company offers vehicles through sales and subscriptions. Sean Flood and David Touwsma are the founders of Today. “We love cargo bikes,” says Sean Flood. “They are efficient, sustainable and increasingly important in urban logistics. DOCKR has proven itself as a stable player with high customer satisfaction, which is special in the dynamic market in which we operate. DOCKR has a committed team with a lot of specialist knowledge,” says Flood. “We look forward to integrating that knowledge and experience within Today. In this way, we can accelerate our internationalization together under the Today flag.”
First step in international expansion: the introduction of cargo bike subscriptions in Vienna
A first concrete step is the launch of DOCKR’s cargo bike subscriptions in Vienna, under the flag of Today. “This immediately shows the power of this collaboration,” says Blankestijn. “We combine DOCKR’s expertise with new vehicles and bring this to a new market. We could not have done this at this pace without this collaboration.” The expansion was launched via the ridetoday.at website, which provides companies and consumers in Vienna with easy access to electric cargo bikes in Vienna’s city centre. In the Netherlands, the DOCKR brand name will also be discontinued and the Dutch company will eventually continue under the Today flag.
DOCKR and Today are building the future of urban mobility together
DOCKR and Today are jointly committed to growth, both in the Netherlands and abroad. Together we make cities more beautiful with sustainable alternatives for urban mobility.

Dockr electric cargo bikes, popular with businesses for urban transportation, have been selected for a trial by global pizza delivery brand Dominos.
LEVA EU member DOCKR was delighted to announce that its products are in the middle of a pilot with the renowned brand and praised it for setting an example for other food brands, hopefully inspiring them to consider sustainable delivery for their operations.
Dockr invites companies to try out the e-cargo bikes to help them visualize how they can benefit their operations without any commitment.
With increasing congestion and sustainability concerns in cities, the Dutch brand offers practical, flexible and fast delivery solutions that sustainably improve business deliveries.
