LEVA-EU member Segway has been selected as shared mobility operator Qick’s solution partner, with its Segway Apex D110L to be deployed in the German cities of Münster, Kassel and Göttingen.

Segway will help Qick take on Germany, reportedly Europe’s largest e-scooter market, with Fluctuo reporting that three out of five of Europe’s top cities for electric scooter ridership are in Germany. In 2025, there were 22 million rides recorded in Berlin, 15 million in Hamburg, and 10 million in Frankfurt.

The e-scooter model, which will be deployed in Münster, Kassel and Göttingen, has a cutting-edge design to keep battery swapping low, with a range of 100 kilometres. Its fleet management system includes features including onboard geofencing and Segway’s Gen-3S IOT technology, for supporting Qick in finding its vehicles quickly and precisely. This will help the company ensure the vehicle deployment is balanced to sustain high demand levels and optimise fleet utilisation.

For reducing maintenance costs, the D110L has a waterproof rating of IPX7 for its key components, for protection in rainy conditions. It’s designed for high everyday use across cities, thanks to its PU-filled tyres and a reinforced aluminium stem.
