European Municipalities are now invited to register for the European Union’s flagship campaign for sustainable urban mobility. Taking place from 16–22 September, the annual initiative encourages towns, cities, and local authorities to demonstrate their commitment to cleaner, more inclusive transportation systems.

Thousands of communities participate each year by organizing events, trialing innovative mobility solutions, and promoting low-emission transport alternatives. Activities such as car-free days, community workshops, and pilot projects provide opportunities to engage citizens and test new ideas in real-world settings.

The 2025 edition places a special emphasis on the theme “Mobility for Everyone”, aiming to ensure that the transition to sustainable transport includes all segments of the population, regardless of age, ability, or income level. This focus highlights the campaign’s broader goal of building accessible and equitable urban transport networks throughout Europe.

Local authorities are encouraged to register early to highlight their initiatives and connect with a growing network of peers working toward a more sustainable mobility future.
