The LEVA-EU member was among other companies that donated bicycles for the special cause of supporting Hulphond Nederland’s mission of enhancing mobility, independence, and quality of life for individuals relying on assistance dogs.

Hulphond Nederland trains and places six categories of assistance dogs with individuals who rely on them for greater independence, safety, and emotional wellbeing. The organisation supports more than 1,000 people annually, including individuals with physical disabilities, PTSD, epilepsy, and those in need of therapy or psychosocial support. Its work is funded entirely through donations, sponsorships, bequests, and corporate partnerships.

Event highlights

Highlights of the event included twenty on-site puppy adoption initiatives as well as the raffles, for which QWIC donated its Inter Daily e-bike as one of the main prizes.

“The foundation of our QWIC culture is that we’re at the heart of society. We’re part of it and we try to fulfill our role as best we can, both for our own people and for the outside world,” said QWIC’s commercial manager, Rens Evers, explaining the company’s support. “When a request like this comes from Hulphond Nederland, our immediate response is… ‘We’re going to fix that.’ Because we realize that many volunteers do wonderful work and have an impact on so many people. We’re very eager to contribute to that.”

The event was a great success with €58,000 in total raised for the special cause. The Hulphond Nederland foundation noted that community and corporate support remains essential to sustaining its mission of providing life-changing assistance dogs to those who need them most.
