The LEVA-EU member’s French subsidiary attended the event in Paris, which focuses on supporting the implementation of low-carbon mobility, where it had the opportunity to meet France’s Minister of Transport.

At the Drive to Zero event, Microlino France proudly showcased the Microlino which demonstrates electric micro-vehicles as an accessible and sustainable solution for environmental, economic and urban challenges.

Microlino France’s Yannick Boulch was honoured to be welcomed onto the Mobilians stand, where he met the Minister of Transport for France, Philippe Tabarot.

Boulch thanked the Minister and his team for their attentiveness and the quality of discussions which they were able to have on tomorrow’s mobility challenges such as the future of the electric microcar sector, and the study of CEE documents assigned to L6e and L7e electric quadricycles.

Boulch has highlighted various issues for the microcar sector which need to be addressed:

  • Restoring the imbalance between different electric vehicle categories, by enabling the L6e and L7e quadricycles to receive benefits from the same EEC aid schemes as category M vehicles.
  • Avoiding distortions of competition that currently penalise the lightest and most energy-efficient vehicles.
  • Accelerating mobility decarbonisation with vehicles requiring fewer raw materials, and less energy for production and usage.
  • Improving how individuals, businesses and communities can access sustainable and practical urban mobility solutions, like microcars, which can be used daily and tackle the constraints of urban centres.
