LEVA-EU is very pleased to welcome Luca Destro to the team as Membership and Growth Manager for Italy. In this role, Luca will support LEVA-EU in strengthening its connections with Italian companies and stakeholders, helping to further expand the association’s presence and impact in one of Europe’s most important e-bike markets.

Based in Italy, Luca has been actively involved in the e-bike sector since 2006. He brings nearly two decades of hands-on experience in the development of e-bikes and related components, combined with a solid professional background in production and general management. His career has given him an in-depth understanding of both the technical and operational dimensions of the industry.

Today, Luca works as a consultant for Italian and Asian companies, advising them on strategic, technical, and organisational matters within the e-mobility field. His approach is solution-oriented, with a strong focus on helping companies identify practical pathways to overcome regulatory, operational, and market-related challenges. This mindset aligns closely with LEVA-EU’s mission to remove obstacles and create a supportive framework for light electric vehicle businesses across Europe.

The collaboration with LEVA-EU is the result of a long-standing professional relationship and shared objectives. Over many years of mutual acquaintance, Luca has developed a strong conviction that LEVA-EU’s expertise and regulatory knowledge can deliver significant value to a broad range of stakeholders in the Italian market. Through his local network and industry insight, he will help facilitate closer engagement between Italian enterprises and the European policy environment.
