After over 8 years at the Swiss speed pedelec brand, Stromer’s Chief Commercial Officer announced he is stepping down from the company, and expressed thanks to all those he had the pleasure of working with at the company.

The announcement was made by Broos on his LinkedIn account, and which he described as a difficult decision.

“It is not a decision I have taken lightly, but I know that it is time for a change and to explore new horizons,” said Broos.

Broos was complimentary in reflecting on his 8 year tenure at Stromer, where he witnessed it grow significantly from a start-up to an established brand in a brand new category of mobility.

He stated that Stromer was successful in “setting the standard” within the speed pedelec sector.

Broos’ positive thoughts about Stromer’s future

Broos notes that although the past few years have been challenging due to difficult market conditions for the bicycle industry, he believes the company has a strong foundation for a positive future, having restored management with new CEO Marcel Korner and a new era of products in development.

In his farewell message, Broos extends his appreciation to colleagues, retailers, partners, ambassadors, and customers he has worked with during his time at Stomer, stating, “It is the people who have made this such a beautiful memory.”
