LEVA-EU member Klever Mobility has raised a safety risk warning about its Y-Muse 25, Y-Muse 45 and Model X bicycles from the model year 2020 onwards. Users are requested to stop using these models and take them to a Klever dealer to get a front fork replacement.

The warning follows a real-life incident, which consisted of the Spinner fork and aluminium steerer tube breaking under heavy loads. This can occur when the bike’s headset isn’t properly adjusted. Although the Spinner fork did pass all mandatory inspections with great results, Klever does not want to take any risks and has decided to replace the forks in question as a preventative measure.

Jan van der Ligt, the Manager Director of Klever Mobility Europe has said the following about the recall, “The safety of our Klever riders always comes first. That’s why we’re taking a comprehensive, preventative approach, even though the risk of fork breakage is virtually zero. We want both our dealers and end users to have complete confidence in our products.”

Klever owners can check if their bike is affected by the recall by entering its frame number on the following website page.

If affected, they are instructed to contact their local Klever dealer immediately.
