General Description

As Senior Marketing Communications & PR Manager, you will be a central driver of our growth story. Working in a small, high-performing, and international team, you will take ownership of developing and executing strategic marketing communications and public relations initiatives across the European region. This role requires a professional with proven senior-level expertise, the ability to manage high-impact projects end-to-end, and the leadership to influence stakeholders both internally and externally. You will collaborate closely with our global headquarters in China, the European and local teams, and distribution partners across the region. You will act as a strategic advisor on communications and PR while ensuring strong brand visibility, impactful storytelling, and a consistent consumer experience across all touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the annual Marketing Communications & PR plan for Europe, ensuring alignment with global brand guidelines while adapting strategies to regional market needs
  • Drive brand equity by overseeing the creation and execution of consumer-facing communication assets (digital, social, print, video, events). Ensure all assets are localized and distributed effectively across markets
  • Lead PR strategy and execution across the region, including media outreach, press materials, and agency management. Strengthen media relationships and position the brand as a thought leader within the industry
  • Organize and fully manage flagship European trade events (e.g., IFA), sponsorships, and endorsement opportunities. Oversee all event logistics, press activities, and post-event evaluations
  • Identify and develop strategic partnership opportunities to expand reach and secure additional brand exposure or co-marketing investments
  • Have a strong overview of all marketing and communications activities across Europe, ensuring alignment and consistency in strategy and execution
  • Oversee the organization and supervision of photo and video shoots for new products, both in the Netherlands and abroad, ensuring high-quality marketing assets
  • Take full ownership of the A&P budget across the region. Manage administration, reporting, and ROI measurement, making strategic recommendations to optimize investments
  • Act as a senior communications partner to sales, product marketing, and distribution teams. Lead regular cross-functional meetings to align on strategy and execution
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of communications programs, providing insights and recommendations to secure ongoing success and funding
  • Daily communication with the local marketers in Europe and our headquarters
  • Preparing business and marketing communication presentations for the management team

Qualifications and Skills

  • BS or BA Degree from an accredited college/university in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in at least several of the following disciplines: Marketing Communications (digital, print), Retail Marketing, Media planning, Social Media, PR, Merchandising, Events organization/execution
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in managing a team
  • Previous knowledge and understanding of pan-European (trading) business industry preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office required
  • Professional English proficiency is required, any additional European languages preferred
  • Strong interpersonal communication and coaching skills
  • Detail oriented with strong aptitude for problem solving
  • Strong decision-making and organizational skills
  • Able to work independently and exercise good judgment
  • Must be able to work outside office hours if required
  • International travel within European region – potentially up to 25% of time
