VROEGH Design (“VD”) is a global-oriented Dutch agency specialising in developing Light Electric Vehicles. We work as an external R&D department for established brands and promising start-ups. With our team of ambitious professionals, we help mobility brands with the development of their ideal vehicles.

In the flourishing market of E-mobility, our unique and aesthetically pleasing vehicle designs set us apart, alongside solving technical and functional challenges and a high level of innovation in design concepts and processes. As a Product Design Engineer at VD, you’ll be privileged to work on creative projects with mobility brands worldwide.

Your Responsibilities

In your role as Product Design Engineer, you’ll be working on the development of (Light) Electric Vehicles. With your technical insight and knowledge of development, you’ll collaborate with engineers and designers and inspire the team to create high-quality products for our clients.

This role requires a can-do attitude, a proper technical background with matching engineering skills (SolidWorks), and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. Your responsibilities include:

• Developing technical solutions for mobility products;
• Communicate concepts, ideas and design choices to partners and colleagues;
• Translate design and technical solutions into CAD models;

Our ideal candidate is an experienced Design Engineer with a track record in mobility design and a passion and drive for technical problem-solving and innovation. Someone who is driven to dig into mechanical challenges and come up with innovative and smart solutions, while keeping an eye on the aesthetics. We value candidates who have an unlimited drive to keep learning and developing. You are proactive and motivated and have no problem communicating your work internally or to our clients.

Requirements:

• Degree in a relevant education (BSc/MSc in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering);
• Experience with product development within mobility, preferably (e-)bikes or other types of mobility;
• Experience with 3D modelling (e.g. SolidWorks);
• Creative mindset for developing technical solutions;
• Ability to self-start and work independently;
• Manage your own time and budget, and mitigate risks accordingly
• Ability to communicate your work clearly to internal (and external) stakeholders;
• Fluent in English.

This Would Give You A Step Ahead;

• Experience at a design / consulting firm;
• SolidWorks surface modelling skills;
• Affinity with product design (aesthetics);
• Experience with Project Management, or managing your own projects;
• Experience with (metal) production methods (moulding/casting).
