Since becoming the first trike manufacturer to be a B Corp business in 2024, the LEVA-EU member believes that understanding and sharing its impact is just as important as the trikes it creates. It has published its first report demonstrating how it looks after its people and works with communities, while considering its environmental impact.
The recumbent trike brand states that the report is an important step in its journey as a B Corp in challenging itself to ask better questions, delve deeper into how it operates and hold itself accountable.
ICE Trikes stated that compiling the report has been a great team effort and acknowledges that the milestone of its first Impact Report is just a starting point, and aims to keep learning and improving on its impact year by year.
Key report highlights include:
- Message from its Managing Director.
- A B Impact Assesment (BIA) score of 114.1 (far surpassing the score of 80+ to become certified, and a great achievement compared to the average business score of 50).
- Governance – Employee Owned Trust (EOT) structure, ICE Beyond 30 Strategy and upcoming policies.
- Community – reviewing a fair and transparent hiring process, local impact and sourcing, and upcoming initiatives.
- Customers – enabling wider accessibility to its trikes, thanks to partnerships with British Cycling and National Trust.
- Upcoming plans on supply chain management, community engagement and improving product accessibility & usability.
