LEVA-EU member ICE Trikes recently joined forces with British Cycling, Plymouth City Council, Connect Plymouth and Plymouth Bike Hire to promote the new Adapted E-Cycle Hub to the general public in the city of Plymouth.
As part of the Connect Plymouth initiative, a council-supported programme aimed at enhancing access to sustainable transportation in Plymouth, UK, the Adapted E-Cycle Hub was launched in 2022 to provide greater accessibility to electric-assist bicycles. The hub, supported by British Cycling, Plymouth Bike Hire, and Plymouth City Council, is designed to create an inclusive environment where individuals with varying mobility needs can trial adapted cycles, such as ICE Trikes’ recumbent electric trikes.
Recently, in March 2025, the Adapted E-Cycle Hub opened a second site in Coypool, Plymouth, to increase accessibility to electric mobility in the region. A key contributor to this project, ICE Trikes recently partnered with local stakeholders in Plymouth’s city centre to promote awareness and educate the public about the benefits of its recumbent trikes and the Adapted E-Cycle Hub’s new location.
