The LEVA-EU member has announced that the new partnership with the charity will enable families of disabled and autistic children to access new funding towards the cost of its recumbent trikes in the UK.
Through the initiative, eligible families could receive up to 80% funding toward the cost of an ICE Trike, helping to make cycling more accessible for children who are unable to use a traditional two-wheeled bicycle.
The program aims to give young people the opportunity to experience the freedom, independence, and physical benefits that cycling provides — while encouraging greater social participation and outdoor activity.
“Cycling offers a unique sense of freedom and joy, and for many children with disabilities, an adaptive trike can open up a whole new world of mobility and confidence,” a Caudwell Children spokesperson said. “This partnership helps ensure more families can access equipment that makes that possible.”
ICE Trikes are designed with comfort, stability, and adaptability in mind, making them suitable for riders with a wide range of mobility needs. The collaboration reflects both organisations’ shared commitment to inclusion, wellbeing, and equal opportunities for disabled children.
More information about eligibility and application can be accessed on ICE Trikes’ website.
