The LEVA-EU member has published its ESG report, detailing how the company is turning its commitment to sustainability into transparent, data-backed measurable results. The second edition of its annual report on this topic indicates areas of progress and where it still has work to do.

The battery producer expressed that it believes the future of the lithium battery industry needs to be green, and that this shouldn’t just be represented in the products Greenway makes but also in each step of how they are produced.

Greenway’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report shows its efforts towards this goal, covering its progress in the areas of green manufacturing & carbon management, R&D and battery innovation, global supply chain sustainability, people, diversity and community, and corporate governance and ethics.

Highlights from Greenway’s report include:

  • Scope 2 (market-based) GHG emissions were reduced year-on-year despite scale-up
  • 38.92% of its electricity now comes from renewable sources
  • Its revenue grew to €345 million
  • It invested €18.4 million into R&D
  • Zero corruption, zero forced labour, zero discrimination incidents
