The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) has launched a new call for projects under the Green Assist advisory initiative, which supports the development of sustainable investment projects. Eligible SMEs with projects that demonstrate a clear environmental benefit can apply for tailored advisory support.

The objective of this call, with a budget of €3 million available, is to enable SMEs to prepare bankable green investment projects across a wide range of sectors.

Selected SMEs will receive hands-on support to:

  • strengthen business strategies
  • improve financial structuring
  • validate environmental performance
  • address regulatory or technical challenges

The aim of Green Assist is to help mobilise private capital for the green transition, by enhancing project maturity, and reducing investment risk. It seeks to address some of the advisory gaps which can prevent smaller and medium-sized companies from gaining access to finance, while also strengthening Europe’s green competitiveness.

Through this call, Green Assist looks to help SMEs transform environmentally beneficial projects into solid, investment-ready initiatives, which are capable of attracting financing and scaling up their impact across Europe and beyond.

The call is open until 18 May 2026.

Further details on eligibility criteria, scope of support and application procedures are available in the call page.
