On February 23, Eurobike organisers FairnamicGmbH held the inaugural meeting of its newly founded advisory board in Frankfurt, attended by eight representatives from industry, trade, associations, and service providers.
The identities of the advisory board members has not yet been disclosed. Eurobike spokespoerson, Frank Gaus, stated to SAZ Bike: “The Advisory Board sees itself as a working group for open yet confidential exchange. Therefore, we do not publish individual meeting contents or the names of the participating industry representatives. What is crucial for us is the joint further development of Eurobike in close cooperation with the industry.”
Eurobike’s future shape
There has been much recent industry discussion around Eurobike’s future, with LEVA-EU taking a positive assessment of its continued potential.
Philipp Ferger, Managing Director of Fairnamic GmbH, spoke of the introduction of the advisory board as representing a “strategic turning point”. The goal is to reposition Eurobike as the leading global trade fair not only for the bike industry but the wider ecomobility sector from 2027 onwards.
Stephan Kurzawski, member of the management board of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH and chairman of the advisory board, said: “The discussions made it very clear that many market participants view the increasing fragmentation of the trade fair landscape with concern. This makes a common guiding principle for the industry all the more important – a strong, international platform that provides orientation and reliability.”
The realignment of Eurobike will take a structured approach. A dialogue process, consisting of approximately 20 workshops for different market segments, was due to commence at the end of February, with a strategy consultancy supporting the process.
The 2026 Eurobike edition
The trade show this year is intended as a first tangible and visible representation of the strategic realignment. Newly introduced, cost-efficient participation formats will be in place, alongside a more clearly focused hall layout.
