OEM companies working in the global bicycle and e-bike industries can now formally register for the first edition of CycleExpo, a new initiative created by NieuwsFiets Media & Events, and scheduled for October 6-8 2027. Strong interest has already been indicated by many European and Asian component and accessory manufacturers.

Arnauld Hackmann, co-organiser of the event with his son Rick, summarised responses to the announcement of the planned show, and outlined its positioning in the international trade show calendar: “CycleExpo will be interesting to visit not only for large bicycle manufacturers but also for medium-sized and small bicycle manufacturers. It is truly remarkable how many responses we have received, on the road, via email, and on social media. There is clearly a need for an international networking opportunity between suppliers and bicycle brands in Europe in the autumn. In that sense, CycleExpo is an ideal complement to the trade fairs in Taiwan and China, but also to a Taichung Bike Week or a Eurobike.”

What’s on offer

Those interested in participating as exhibitors can choose from four different size of full-service stands (12 m², 18 m², 24 m², and 30 m²), which can be printed with graphics and imagery provided by the exhibitors. The aim is to achieve a balance of giving the show a clear and uniform appearance, while ensuring that each exhibitor can present their own look and feel, keeping costs manageable without the need for custom-built booths. From a logistics point of view, the show is conveniently located at Expo Greater Amsterdam, which has good connections to Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam and plentiful nearby hotel accommodation.

Go/No Go deadline of 1 October, 2026

Since the initial announcement, the CycleExpo organisers have openly indicated that a decision will be made on 1 October 2026 as to whether the show will go ahead. This decision will be made based on the volume of registrations received.

In the initial stage, potential participants are registering to receive more information about taking part in the show. Hackmann states, “The more exhibitors we have on board, the greater the chance that it will proceed, of course. If all positive responses are converted into bookings, then we are very confident that the event will simply take place in 2027.”
