The e-bike systems brand and LEVA-EU member has shared updates on a busy and exciting start to 2025, with innovative product insights, sustainability initiatives and attendance at numerous trade shows and events.

Company update

The spotlight has recently been on innovations at the globally renowned brand’s production sites, with Electrek uncovering the transformational progress of its factory over the last five years. Bafang also revealed details of the installation of highly effective solar energy into its buildings’ infrastructure under its Firefly Plan.

GVT – a new shifting experience

Due to the high output of power from electric bike motors, the damage risks to conventional external shifting systems have been a significant topic of conversation in the industry. To address this issue, Bafang has developed its Gear, Variable Transmission (GVT) automatic shifting hub motor series with power options from 250W to 1000W.

Global event attendance

Bafang has attended numerous prestigious cycling events around the world so far in 2025 including the B2B Festival, Velofollies, Taipei Cycle, Cycle World, Bike Expo and Sea Otter. Next up, it will be participating at the China Cycle show in May.

UK aftersales service optimisation

In February, Bafang joined a strategic partnership with a renowned UK service agency EMCB located in the United Kingdom, to optimise its growth with superior aftercare for the region.
