LEVA-EU member Ampyre, which manufactures innovative all-terrain e-scooter/e-step models, spoke to electric mobility insight specialists Charging Stack at the recent Salon du 2 Roues event in Lyon, showcasing their Arrow and Core models.
Ampyre Co-owner Bram Van Aken chatted to Charging Stack’s Marin Galić, talking through the key features of the two models, highlighting their made-in-Belgium credentials, and discussing the company’s plans for future expansion in Europe and beyond.
The Arrow features a fully milled frame, and a drive system designed for optimal all-terrain performance with a 3,600 W hub motor and a 1.8 kWh battery, giving up to 90 km of range.
The Core features a 6,000 W mid-mounted motor with a chain drive and 2.1 kWh battery giving up to 100 km of range, and an aluminium frame manufactured in collaboration with British brand Orange Bikes.
Van Aken described how these models are designed to enable access to sustainable trail riding for those who may want to join eMTB enthusiasts on their rides.
Ampyre currently has a strong presence in Belgium and France, and has ambitions to target countries with high levels of tourism and beautiful terrain, including Croatia, Czechia, Italy, Spain, Portugal and also beyond Europe eventually.
