Senior Designer – Brussels (BE)


We are looking for a super-talented, detail-oriented Senior Designer to partner with our Director of Strategy & Content and the entire marketing team to lead visual content creation, from print to digital. You will be responsible for all brand and marketing design work, ensuring cohesion across all communication, and embodying the unique qualities of the Cowboy bike, app, and service offering.

You’ll create a visually-consistent brand image of Cowboy through different platforms ranging from online display and social media to weekly newsletters and print collateral. You’ll be able to flex across different forms of content and media with an ability to impact web and product design. To be successful in this role, you embrace a problem-solving mentality, can develop and articulate strong creative concepts, and take responsibility for seeing all design work through to finish with a keen eye for detail. You work within a design system while testing new approaches as you push the boundaries of how Cowboy can stand out and connect with our rider community.

In the role you will:

  • Lead visual design and push it to a new level
  • Set art direction for the brand and all visual elements (e.g. photography, illustration, iconography)
  • Create designs for all our digital platforms and media placements
  • Take initiative and push ideas and execution forward for new content programs
  • Focus on visual and systems design and be able to flex into product and interaction design
  • Design & iterate with our web, hardware, and software teams to sketch and explore new ideas and to align look and feel across the entire brand and product ecosystem
  • Anticipate new needs and own the visual strategy based on new products and initiatives across the company


  • A strong portfolio consisting of brand identity and design work for both physical and tech brands, with a strong focus on presenting benefits and features in an elegant and compelling way
  • Relevant experience creating designs for both online and offline
  • Knowledge of digital platforms and their individual differences in international markets
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting tight deadlines
  • Flexibility to design across brand and editorial design into web and product design
  • A strong eye for detail, being able to identify differences and create designs that represent our vision
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate differences in designs to stakeholders of different audiences
  • See short-term challenges as long-term opportunities to grow the brand, product, and community over time
  • A strong mindset to put collaboration first in a fast-paced environment and capable of building strong relationships with different stakeholders in a remote environment
